Boss Team Games Unveils New Halloween Titles in Collaboration with John Carpenter

The gaming world is abuzz with exciting developments as Boss Team Games, renowned for its work on Evil Dead: The Game, has announced the creation of two new titles inspired by the legendary Halloween film franchise. This announcement comes alongside the involvement of acclaimed filmmaker John Carpenter, who played a pivotal role in the original 1978 horror masterpiece.

The studio is collaborating with producers from Compass International Pictures and Further Front, aligning to capture the essence of Halloween. While details for one of the upcoming games remain under wraps, it has been revealed that the other will be developed using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5. This title is still in early stages of production and will include significant contributions from Carpenter himself.

Boss Team Games has stated that both projects will allow players to experience memorable moments from the film and to assume the roles of iconic characters from this pivotal horror story. While Michael Myers is expected to be a main character, it remains uncertain whether players will step into the shoes of the beloved final girl, Laurie Strode, famously portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis.

There exists the possibility that these new games might take a different approach, featuring unique narratives and characters, diverging from being direct adaptations of the films. While Evil Dead: The Game was focused on asymmetric multiplayer mechanics with engaging storytelling, it has yet to be confirmed if the Halloween titles will adopt a similar gameplay structure.
