eFootball Season Kickoff: Exciting Updates and New Features for 2024

This week marks the beginning of the latest eFootball season. As previously noted, Konami has chosen to move away from using a yearly numerical title for its sports simulation game, with eFootball 2024 being the final iteration of this format. Starting next Thursday, the game will simply be known as eFootball, coinciding with the launch of version 4.0.0.

According to information shared on the official website, both the PC and console versions, alongside eFootball Mobile, will receive updates during the early hours of September 11-12. For those using the mobile version, it is advised to connect via a Wi-Fi network due to the need for approximately 2.8 GB of available storage space.

This new season is expected to introduce several exciting updates. The X account for eFootball has provided a brief overview of some of the changes coming this season. Notably, the Test Match feature will now be referred to as Exhibition, allowing players to fully enjoy the variety of clubs and teams that can be accessed within this mode.

One of the standout additions is the introduction of a feature known as Smart Assist, which aims to enhance player control for some highly requested elements, including dribbling and shooting power. Furthermore, both snow and rainy weather effects will be included in the mobile edition, adding more realism to gameplay.

This is just a snapshot of what Konami has in store for eFootball, as this season is expected to showcase fierce competition between the established EA FC 25 and the emerging UFL.
