Users Reacted Extremely Negatively to the New Gmail UI Layout

Gmail is rightfully considered one of the most convenient and popular emails in the world. Because of its thoughtful functionality with many tools, email management becomes as simple as possible. Meanwhile, Google is also not immune to errors. And one of the recent, but quite noticeable, was that some letters began to be automatically moved to trash.

A couple of months ago, Google introduced a new integrated design for Meet, Chat, Spaces, and Mail, which was the subject of fierce criticism from users. The fact is that initially this design was switchable and users could turn on the old look at will. However, starting this month, Google removed this feature and made the new design the default. And many users are extremely unhappy with this, according to them, the new UI greatly affects performance. So, for example, if earlier version all correspondence was on one screen, now you need to switch tabs. Dissatisfaction is also caused by the new font size and rounded corners of the interface.

Special mention should be given to the fact that the new design is extremely inconvenient for the elderly and people with dyslexia. Google has not yet commented on this issue, nor on user feedback in general. And since feedback from the audience has always been a weak point of the company, there is no need to wait for a reaction and a quick decision. Meanwhile, users have not shown such a negative attitude towards updates for a long time, which means there is a chance that Google will do something.

What do you think was the main reason for the negative reaction of users to the new integrated design from Google? Do you think that the outrage of the audience will cause the design to be changed? Please share your opinion below.
