WhatsApp Functionality Is Expanded by a Number of Functions, Including Communities

Meta introduced a number of new useful features for WhatsApp, some of which touched on managing and moving through related subtopics within groups. New opportunities appeared thanks to the introduction of Communities, which simplified the system of communication within several groups that have at least one logical connection. So, with their help, WhatsApp users will be able to communicate and quickly move from one group chat to another, which is especially important in small thematic communities, including district groups, schools, and so on.

The official WhatsApp blog post also describes a number of other changes that have been made to improve the app user experience. Now you can add up to 1024 people to a group, and the maximum number of participants in a group video call has been increased to 32.

The COVID pandemic that started in 2020 served as a possible impetus to how much time people spend on the Internet, in particular the time of their communication in various groups, and therefore the development of applications in this direction is always a good idea. Communities in their own way is an innovative development from WhatsApp, which is usually not a pioneer among such applications. Meanwhile, the concept of combining a number of groups under one roof so that the user can easily select the most interesting ones for seeding and easily switch between groups is certainly extremely successful.

In addition to the emergence of Communities and the expansion of the number of participants for group chats and video calls, WhatsApp also allowed sharing files up to 2GB in group chats.

Do you like the idea of WhatsApp Communities? Should other apps follow WhatsApp's example? Please share your thoughts below.
