Call of Duty: Mobile: An Anticipated Release of the Mobile-Focused FPS Game

Call of Duty: Mobile is a long-awaited sequel to the beloved game series by Activision for the Android and iOS mobile platforms only. Released on October 1, 2019, the game is a free-to-play FPS for smartphones and tablets.

Graphics and Sound 9/10

The game’s improved graphics look even more realistic and engaging. What I like best is that its textures, weapons, and characters are very detailed and remain clean and well-shaped throughout the game without getting blurry when you are in the heat of fast-paced action scenes. Its background music and sound effects are nicely matched to enhance the overall FPS experience.

Controls 9/10

Ensuring smooth controls in a mobile shooter is a hell of a task, but the developers did a great job here. There are two control schemes: the simple mode with auto-fire and the advanced mode that involves manual fire where you can use and customize various hand-held weapons. The former is great if you need a little getting used to all the aiming and firing, and the latter, although less intuitive, is much more fun. Personally, I liked the advanced version, since I don’t like games holding me by the hand.

Gameplay 8/10

The core concept of the game is straightforward: you navigate through different maps, fulfill objectives, eliminate adversaries, and evade any fatal outcomes for yourself. As you progress, the necessity for enhanced abilities and weaponry becomes evident. COD: Mobile offers a blend of familiar elements from the franchise, incorporating well-known characters and settings from the iconic series.

Beginners have a choice of such multiplayer modes as Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, Hardpoint, and Frontline. Its fifth level unlocks Search and Destroy and Domination modes; and when you reach level seven, you can enter Battle Royale.

Lasting Appeal 8/10

The franchise has been around since 2003, and it does not look like it is going anywhere any time soon. COD: Mobile owes much of its popularity to the dynamic, fast-paced gameplay, stylish graphics, and the unique BR format, which appeals to many players. What I really didn’t like though is the overflow of ads and purchases.

A Solid Mobile FPS with a Most Impressive BR Mode

This new FPS mobile game will not disappoint millions of COD fans around the world. It inherits the best characteristics of the franchise while offering quite a few unique properties. The amazing graphics and sound combined with easy controls and various game modes make the game an absolute must-have.
