Hangouts is an application providing you with a convenient communication tool. You can chat with any person or a group consisting of up to 150 participators from your contacts. In addition to the text messages, you are suggested to benefit from the voice and video calls with up to 10 persons simultaneously for free. This software connects people regardless of their current location.

Design and Usability 10/10

It is very easy to use this app due to its well-arranged layout and uncluttered design. You will not be confused with plenty of menu sections and buttons. Instead, you get fast access to calls. Here everything runs without the need in the complicated setups. You can use a search system to find a person you want to communicate with, and that will speed up the things. When you have a group discussion, you will see the currently speaking one, and the pictures of the others are shown at the bottom of the screen. It is easy to jump between chats and rooms.

Key Functions 10/10

It allows for dialing any phone number to make the voice or video call. You can communicate with the users of the Hangouts and Google contacts. It is possible to talk with circles too. The only difference that should be considered is that a non-Hangout user will pay for your calls. 

When you make a video call, you can switch between your front- and rear-facing cameras or just refuse them both. If you want to listen to the chat but do not want the participators to listen to your voice, you can turn off the microphone. When you get on with your part of the job, you can quit the hangout before the discussion is over. 

As to messages, it is very simple to send them even if your contact is offline. He will see the incoming mail as soon as he is on. In order to express your emotions in the text content, you can attach the photos, animated GIFs, emoji, stickers, and more.
